July 25th, 2015 - Rodney Sanders Wins World Modified Dirt Track Championship
aKicking off the busy week of racing, Rodney Sanders traveled to Rapid Speedway (Rock Rapids, Iowa) to compete in another round of action in the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS). In a field of 19 cars, Sanders fell three spots in his heat logging a 6th place finish. Starting in the back of the pack for the $3,000 to win feature, Rodney charged through the field retiring a top five outing. Finishing behind Cory Crasper, Jesse Sobbing, and Steve Whiteaker Jr., Sanders captured the hard charger award advancing twelve spots with Jesse Glenz coming in 5th.

aOn Thursday night Rodney headed to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) to compete in the USMTS sanctioned 5th Annual World Modified Dirt Track Championship presented by Red Tail Tackle. With 63 Open Wheel Modifieds signed in for the first night of three, Sanders scored a runner-up finish in his heat transferring him into the A-Main. Starting in 6th for the 30-lapper, Sanders advanced three spots capturing a podium finish behind Terry Phillips and Bobby Malchus with Joey Jensen and Brandon Davis completing the top five.

Coming from 6th to 2nd in his heat the following night, Sanders earned a 5th place starting spot for the 30-lap A-Main presented by Red Tail Tackle. Working his way into second spot by lap 15, Sanders dueled with Jason Hughes for the lead until retiring a 2nd place finish behind Hughes with Brandon Davis, Brad Dierks, and Dan Ebert rounding out the top five.

For the final night of the World Modified Dirt Track Championship, Sanders had already a pole position slated for the first feature event. Battling for $5,000 in the 30-lapper, Rodney Sanders added to his tally scoring his 19th win of the season with Brandon Davis, Jason Hughes, Terry Phillips and Brad Dierks completing the top five.

aWith a ten minute intermission to make any last second adjustments, Rodney headed out for the 50-lap main event with a pole position starting spot. After holding off a late race charge from Jason Hughes, Sanders continued on his phenomenal 2015 season scoring his 20th victory of the season. Bringing his total to over $20,000 for the weekend, Sanders led all 50 laps bagging the $15,000 payday with Jason Hughes, Terry Phillips, Joey Jenson and Zack VanderBeek rounding out the top five.

July 18th, 2015 - Rodney Sanders Bags Two Win Weekend at I-80 Speedway
aOn Friday night Rodney Sanders headed to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) pulling double duty in both his Open Wheel Modified and Super Late Model.

With Friday night’s show only premiering heat races for the Lucas Oil Late Dirt Late Model Series (LOLMDS), Rodney landed two top five finishes. The starting line-up for Saturday’s Silver Dollar Nationals would depend on passing points in the heats, Sanders went to place 3rd and 4th place in the two rounds of action. (Lloyd Collins Photo)

Switching over to the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Rodney advanced four spots in his heat from 7th to 3rd, setting him up for a pole position starting spot for the 35-lap feature event. With 24 Open Wheel Modified battling for the $3,000 payday, Sanders held his position recording his 17th win of the season with Jason Hughes, Jeremy Payne, Terry Phillips, and Dereck Ramirez rounding out the top five.

aOn Saturday night starting in 15th for the $32,000 to win Silver Dolllar Nationals Feature, Rodney hoped to gain some spots and keep up his successful streak at I-80 Speedway. With 80 laps set on the scoreboard, Sanders experienced some trouble early in the feature eventually pulling off after smoke was billowing out from underneath the hood.

aMoving to his Modified, Rodney Sanders edged his way into the feature event with a 5th place outing in his heat. Starting in 13th for the 35-lap Casey’s General Stores A-Main, Rodney wheeled his way to the front by lap 15, cruising to his 18th win of the season. Capturing another $3,000 payday, Sanders ousted Jason Hughes, Jesse Sobbing, Terry Phillips, and Brian Green.

July 11th, 2015 - Rodney Sanders Battles Back in Mega 100 Feature
aRodney Sanders traveled to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) on Thursday for the three-day $12,000 to win Mega 100. With a staggering field of 131 Open Wheel Modifieds, Sanders captured a heat race victory transferring him into Saturday’s main event. Starting in 3rd for the feature, Rodney was sentenced to the back of the pack on lap three. After being sent to the back of the pack, Rodney Sanders charged from 27th to 6th by the time the finals checkers flew in the 100-lap feature.

July 5th, 2015 - Rodney Sanders Competes in 4th of July Weekend
aaOn Saturday night Rodney Sanders made the trip to Central Missouri Speedway (Warrensburg, Missouri) to take part in a United States Racing Association (USRA) Event. Piloting the #20 Swan Energy/MB Customs Open Wheel Modified for the $5,000 to win feature, Sanders pulled of a top five finish. With only ten laps to go in the feature, Rodney was running in 1st place until making contact with another car. After being sent to the back, Rodney Sanders worked his way up to a 5th place finish when the final checkers flew.

aThe following night brought Sanders to Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, Indiana) competing in a Summit Modified Nationals Event. With $1,000 on the line for the feature event, bad luck continued for Rodney as he logged a DNF in the A-Main.
