June 27th, 2015 - Rodney Sanders Wins at Lawton Speedway
aWith his eyes on seven straight wins in the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Rodney Sanders visited to Heart O’ Texas Speedway (Elm Mott, Texas) for another round of action. In a field of 32 Open Wheel Modifieds, Rodney had to rely on his B-Main performance after placing 5th in his heat. Following a B-Main victory, Rodney Sanders charged from his 13th place starting position to capture his seventh straight Casey’s General Stores A-Main victory. Sanders scored another $3,000 payday with Steve Whiteaker Jr., Cade Dillard, Clyde Dunn Jr., and Grant Junghans completing the top five finishers. This win gives Rodney Sanders his 15th victory on the 2015 season.  

aOn Wednesday night Rodney Sanders traveled with the USMTS Series to Devil’s Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas). With 41 cars on hand for the $3,000 payday, Rodney’s winning streak came to end after failing record a transfer spot from his heat race. Edging his way into the feature event with 6th place spot in his B-Main, Sanders went on to receive the hard charger award for advancing from his 24th starting spot to retire a 7th place exit.

aThe following night brought Rodney to East Texas Speedway (Petty, Texas) for another night in the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS). With a smaller field of 33 entries, Sanders scored a spot into the feature event with a 2nd place outing in his heat. Starting in 9th, Rodney went on to record a 2nd place finish behind Philip Houston with Bobby Malchus, Dereck Ramirez and Johnny Scott coming in the top five.

aContinuing on the USMTS schedule, Rodney Sanders made the trip to Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) on Friday night. With 41 cars signed in for the night’s program, Sanders had to rely on his B-Main showing after logging a 8th spot in his heat. Starting in 12th, Sanders charged through the field to capture the 14-lap victory. With a 14th place starting spot for the Casey’s General Stores A-Main, Rodney Sanders wheeled his way through the field to notch a 3rd place finish behind Triston Dycus and Jason Hughes, with Clyde Dunn Jr., and Dereck Ramirez rounding out the top five competitors.

aOn Saturday night Sanders wrapped up the busy week at Lawton Speedway (Lawton, Oklahoma) for another round of USMTS action. In a smaller field of 31 Open Wheel Modifieds, Rodney earned his way into the 40-lap feature with a 2nd place outing in his heat. Starting in 6th place, Rodney Sanders captured his 16th win of the 2015 season. Competing in the Casey’s General Stores A-Main, Rodney scored a $3,000 payday with Dereck Ramirez, Steve Whiteaker Jr., Jesse Sobbing, and Cade Dillard completing the top five finishers.

June 20th, 2015 - Sanders Keeps Streak Alive at Route 66 Motor Speedway
aTo continue on the United States Modified Tour Series (USMTS) schedule Rodney Sanders made the trip to 81 Speedway (Park City, Kansas) to pilot his #20 Swan Energy/MB Customs Open Wheel Modified. Coming off three state wins in the USMTS, Rodney continued his streak to advance three spots in his heat to record a heat win. With a total field of 58 Open Wheel Modifieds, Rodney Sanders never looked back from his pole position starting spot to record his fourth straight feature win. Sanders picked up another $3,000 payday ousting Johnny Scott, Ryan Gustin, Grant Junghans and Brian Franz in the 40-lap A-Main. This win gives Rodney his 10th win on the season in his Open Wheel Modified.

aOn Friday night Rodney continued on the USMTS tour by making the trek to Red River Speedway (Wichita Falls, Texas). With another packed house of 36 Open Wheel Modifieds, Sanders landed the #20 Kimrad Transport Modified in victory lane for the fifth straight night. Charging from 7th to 2nd in his heat, Rodney went on to lead every lap of the 40-lap Casey’s General Store A-Main. Sanders cruised to his 11th victory of the season with Jesse Sobbing, Dereck Ramirez, Triston Dycus and Johnny Scott completing the top five.

aRodney Sanders visited Route 66 Motor Speedway (Amarillo, Texas) in hopes of keeping his United States Modified Tour Series (USMTS) streak afloat with six wins. With a car count of 45 Open Wheel Modifieds, Sanders went on to lead every lap of his heat and 40-lap feature to register his 6th straight win of the season. Recording yet another $3,000 payday, Rodney won his 12th Modified feature of the season with Dereck Ramirez, Steve Whiteaker Jr. Stormy Scott and Casey Arneson rounding out the top five. He now has a total of 14 wins this year.

June 14th, 2015 - Rodney Sanders Snags a Three Win Weekend
aRodney Sanders resumed racing action on Wednesday night at KRA Speedway (Wilmar, Minnesota) for a United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) event. With a packed house of 38 Modified’s, Sanders earned his way into the Casey’s General Stores A-Main with a 3rd place spot in his heat. After starting in 11th, Rodney fell back in the feature to record a 23rd place finish.

The following night proved to have better results for Rodney as he continued on the USMTS Tour. With an even larger crowd of 41 entries, Sanders made the trip to Viking Speedway (Alexandria, Minnesota) in hopes to capture the $4,000 payday. Following a 2nd place exit in his heat, Rodney Sanders advanced five positions in the 35-lap feature to record a 2nd spot behind race winner Brady Gerdes with Jesse Sobbing, Craig Thatcher and Zack Johnson rounding out the top five competitors.

aOn Friday night Rodney continued the busy weekend by making the trip to Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wisconsin) for a two day event. Continuing on in the USMTS event, Sanders made the decision to run his Super Late Model as well at Cedar Lake. Out of field of 24 competitors, Rodney Sanders captured his 7th Modified feature win of the 2015 season with Joey Jensen, Jesse Sobbing, Cade Dillard and Cory Crapser rounding out the top five. The same night in his Late Model, Rodney advanced seven spots from 13th to 6th in the 40-lap UMP Summernationals feature.

aSaturday nights seemed to have very similar results for Sanders as he competed in both divisions once again. Rodney piloted his #20 Swan Energy/MB Customs Open Wheel Modified into victory lane to complete the weekend sweep and record 8th Modified feature win of the season. With another mid-pack starting spot in his Late Model for the UMP A-Main, Sanders gained eight positons to log another 6th place finish.

aTo complete the busy but successful weekend, Rodney Sanders traveled to Cresco Speedway (Cresco, Iowa) for another USMTS race. With 22 Modifieds on hand for the 13th Annual Stars & Stripes Shootout, Sanders scored a 2nd place spot in his heat paving his way to the feature. Starting in 5th place, Rodney went on to capture his third USMTS Modified feature in a row. Winning the Casey’s General Stores A-Main, Rodney Sanders ousted Dan Ebert, Jesse Glenz, Jesse Sobbing and Brent Larson to acquire a $3,000 payday.
