May 30th, 2015 - Rodney Sanders Tries at Lucas Oil MLRA Action
aOn Friday night Rodney Sanders changed things up a bit and hopped in the Late Model for a weekend of Lucas Oil Midwest Racing Association (MLRA) racing action. Following a busy weekend last weekend in his Modified, Rodney made the trip to Park Jefferson International Speedway (Park Jefferson, South Dakota) for a separate two day show. On night 1 Rodney logged a 3rd place finish in his heat setting him up for a 5th place finish in 25-lap A-Main. The following night seemed to have very similar results as Rodney made the 40-lap feature with a 2nd place finish in his B-Main. When the checkered flag flew in the Carolina Clash feature Rodney registered his second 5th place finish of the weekend behind Jesse Stovall, Terry Phillips, Kyle Berck and Jason Utter.

May 23rd, 2015 - Rodney Sanders Records Win at Chateau Raceway
a The next stop on the schedule for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) was a race at Crawford County Speedway (Denison, Iowa). Rodney Sanders had plans to keep his successful month of May going with another W. Things started out on the right path for Rodney as he worked up way up from 3rd to win his 8 lap heat. Starting in 5th position in the Casey’s General Store A-Main, Rodney managed to climb 3 positions in the 45-lap feature to record a solid 2nd place finish.

Following Thursday night's show at Crawford County Speedway, the next event on the schedule for Rodney Sanders was another USMTS Series race at Chateau Raceway (Lansing, Minnesota). Friday’s night event brought in 38 entries looking to capture the Casey’s General Stores $3,000 paycheck. In his heat race, Rodney captured a 1st place finish from 5th setting him up for a 6th place starting spot in the A-Main. The rest of the night was history as Rodney continued his memorable 2015 season with a victory and his second W in the month of May.

After the big win at Chateau Raceway, Rodney Sanders followed the USMTS Series to it's next stop at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota). Via a 4th place finish in his heat, Rodney went on to win his B-Main setting him up for the feature. From 13th place, Rodney was able to work his way through the field to achieve a 3rd place finish in 40-lap A-Main.

May 16th, 2015 - Sanders Flies to USMTS Win Friday at I-94 Speedway
aAfter having Thursday’s night show at Rice Lake Speedway called off due to rain, Rodney Sanders came out firing Friday night at I-94 Speedway Fergus Falls to record a win and a $3,000 check.

On Friday night at I-94 Speedway starting in eighth position Rodney managed to work his way up to 4th in his heat race. With the 4th place finish qualifying him for a spot in the B-main, Rodney went on to capture the 15 lap B-main victory giving him a chance at the USMTS Casey’s Cup in the A-main. While starting 13th in the feature, Rodney Sanders showed no restraints and managed to win the 35 lap USMTS Casey’s Cup from 13th.

Saturday the action moved on to Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie Minnesota. Rodney managed to pull off a 3rd place in his heat gaining him a spot in the USMTS Casey’s Cup A-main. After starting 11th in feature Rodney worked his way up the field to obtain a solid 3rd place finish making that two top 3 finishes this weekend and his seventh win of the 2015 season.

May 2nd, 2015 - Pair of Podiums Collected by Rodney Sanders
3Mother Nature finally allowed Rodney Sanders to return to action with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) over the weekend with a pair of $3,000-to-win events in the state of Missouri.

Friday night action found thirty-five competitors registered for action at Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas). A 4th to 1st run in his heat race sent Sanders to the feature redraw, where he was the recipient of the 7th starting spot for the 30 lap finale. During the course of the event Rodney would claw his way to a second place finish behind race winner, Terry Phillips.

Saturday evening found the Swan Energy #20 pitted at Randolph County Raceway (Moberly, Missouri). With thirty-seven entries in action Rodney fell short of qualifying for the feature via his heat race. He was forced to run a b-main, which he won to lock into the 13th starting spot for the 30 lap feature. During the course of the main event he marched forward ten spots to register a 3rd place finish behind race winner, Jesse Sobbing, and Terry Phillips. He received the Mesilla Valley Transportation Hard Charger Award for his efforts.
