September 26th, 2015 - Sanders Finishes 2nd in Hunt for the Caseys's Cup
aRodney Sanders visited Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) on Thursday night for the last night of action in The Hunt for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental. Trailing by four points to Jason Hughes, Rodney had one more chance at the title in a stacked field of 91 Open Wheel Modifieds. Finishing 6th in his heat, Sanders would need a 3rd spot or better in his B-Main to make the show. Cruising to a 15-lap consolation win, Rodney Sanders earned 20th starting position for the feature. Gaining ten spots in the 40-lapper, Sanders logged a 10th place finish giving him a runner-up finish to Jason Hughes in The Hunt for the Casey’s Cup.

aOn Friday night for the 17th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree, Sanders gained seven spots in his heat capturing a runner-up finish to Jacob Dahle. Earning a 5th place starting spot for the feature, Sanders made his way to the front by lap 26. Unable to hold off Jason Hughes late race charge, Rodney scored a runner-up finish to Hughes with Joe Duvall, Brad Waits, and Stormy Scott rounding out the top five. (Buck Monson Photo)

For the final night of action, Rodney improved seven spots in his heat scoring a 2nd place finish to Tim Donlinger. With $10,000 on the line in Saturday’s A-Main, Sanders gained one position in the feature scoring a runner-up spot to Jason Hughes with Tim Donlinger, Brad Waits, and Bobby Malchus completing the top five.

September 6th, 2015 - Rodney Sanders Bags 23rd Win at Cresco Speedway
aOn Wednesday night Rodney Sanders started the five-night stand in The Hunt for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental by traveling to Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa). In a field of 22 Modifieds, Sanders transferred into the feature with a runner-up finish to Stormy Scott in his heat. With $3,000 on the line, Rodney registered a 6th place outing in the 30-lapper.

The following night brought Sanders to Fairmont Raceway (Fairmont, Minnesota) to a field of 30 Open Wheel Modifieds. Edging his way into the feature with a 4th place finish in his heat, Rodney notched a 15th place starting spot. Earning the hard charger award, Rodney Sanders improved ten spots in the 30-lap affair scoring a 5th place finish behind Jason Krohn, Jason Hughes, Jason Cummings, and Jesse Sobbing.

Friday night brought the USMTS followers to Chateau Raceway (Lansing, Minnesota) for the eleventh night of action in The Hunt for the Casey’s Cup. Improving four spots in his heat, Rodney transferred into the feature with a 4th place finish. After starting in 10th, Sanders came in contact with another car sending him sailing in the air on lap 17. Coming out uninjured, Rodney logged his 2nd DNF of the 2015 campaign.

The twelfth night of action in the Hunt of the Casey’s Cup brought Sanders to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota). With 44 Open Wheel Modifies signed in on Saturday night, Rodney recorded a 6th place outing in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring into the feature with a 3rd place finish in his B-Main, Sanders earned the 17th start position for the 40-lapper A-Main. Battling for a $3,000 payday, Rodney charged through the field advancing eleven spots scoring a 6th place finish.

aWrapping up the busy weekend, Rodney headed to Cresco Speedway (Cresco, Iowa) on Sunday night for the $3,000 to win Casey’s General Stores A-Main. Finishing 2nd in his heat to Casey Arneson, Sanders earned the 6th place starting spot for the feature. Working to regain the points lead in The Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s Cup, Rodney Sanders captured his 23rd win of the season with Jason Hughes, Casey Arneson, Jesse Sobbing, and Ryan Gustin completing the top five.
