August 27th, 2016 - Sanders Wins at Park Jefferson Speedway
1Returning on The Hunt for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing and Rental, Rodney Sanders visited Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) on Thursday night for the ninth stop of the tour. In a field of 26 cars, Rodney logged a 7th place outing in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Holding his 5th-starting position for all 10-laps, Sanders rolled off 19th for the main event. Breaking into the Top 5, Rodney Sanders charged 14 spots in the 32-lap A-Main registering a 5th place finish behind Cade Dillard, Zack VanderBeek, Jason Hughes, and Ricky Thornton Jr.

On Friday night the USMTS followers made the trip to Rapid Speedway (Rock Rapids, Iowa) for another $3,000-to-win A-Main. Gaining two spots in his heat, Rodney recorded a 3rd place finish earning him the pole-position for the main event. Hanging on to a podium spot, Sanders landed a 3rd place finish behind Cade Dillard and Ricky Thornton Jr. with Jesse Sobbing and Stormy Scott trailing them across the finish line.

1Park Jefferson Speedway (Jefferson, South Dakota) was the next stop for The Hunt for the Casey's Cup on Saturday. Drawing 31 Open Wheel Modifieds, Sanders placed 3rd in his heat giving him the 12th-starting spot for the feature. Storming to his 11th win of the season, Rodney Sanders reeled in the leader by lap 29 to pick up his second win during The Hunt for the Casey's Cup. Pocketing a $3,000 payday, Jesse Sobbing, Jason Hughes, Ricky Thornton Jr., and Stormy Scott completed the Top 5 in the 37-lapper. (NWIowaPics.com)

Closing out the four-day swing with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Rodney traveled to Casino Speedway (Watertown, South Dakota) for the 12th stop of The Hunt for the Casey’s Cup. Passing two cars in his heat, Sanders posted a 4th place finish but transferred into the B-Main. Landing a runner-up finish in the B-Main behind Ricky Thornton Jr., Rodney earned the 16th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main. Advancing through the field ten positons in the 52-lap feature, Rodney Sanders posted a 6th place finish.

August 21st, 2016 - Rodney Sanders Records a Trio of Top 10 Finishes in Hunt for Casey's Cup
1Continuing with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Rodney Sanders headed to Adams County Speedway (Corning, Iowa) on Thursday night for the sixth round of The Hunt for the Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing and Rental. Coming from the 9th position in his heat, Sanders landed a runner-up finish behind Cade Dillard earning him the 4th-starting spot for the feature. Holding his position for all 32 laps, Rodney posted a 4th place finish behind Cade Dillard, Zack VanderBeek, and Jesse Sobbing with Jason Hughes coming in 5th.

Returning to action on Saturday after the Grant Junghans Memorial got postponed on Friday night, Sanders visited at Salina Highbanks Speedway (Pryor Creek, Oklahoma) for another $3,000-to-win A-Main. In a stout field of 64 cars, Rodney captured a heat race victory putting him 6th on the starting grid for the feature. Hanging on to his starting spot for the entire distance of the main event, Rodney Sanders notched a 6th place finish.

Making the final stop of the weekend, Rodney Sanders was one of 42 USMTS Modifieds signed in at 81 Speedway (Park City, Kansas) on Sunday night. After recording a 3rd place finish in his heat, Rodney charged to a consolation victory giving him the 13th-starting spot for the feature. Breaking into the Top 10, Sanders gained seven positions in the 32-lapper recording a 6th place outing.

August 13th, 2016 - Rodney Sanders Pilot Jimmy Mars Back-up Car at Deer Creek
1 After back-to-back rainouts in the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Rodney Sanders hopped behind the wheel Jimmy Mars secondary car for the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) event at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minnesota) on Thursday night. In a field of 21 Super Late Models, Rodney placed 4th in his heat giving him the 9th-starting position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. Moving up three spots in the 40-lapper, Sanders posted a 6th place finish.

1With the weather finally cooperating, Rodney headed to Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota) on Saturday night for round number four of The Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental. Storming to a heat race with from the 3rd position, Rodney earned the 5th-starting spot for the feature. Gaining one position in the 42-lap feature, Sanders posted a 4th place finish behind Jason Hughes, Jesse Sobbing, and Johnny Scott with Cade Dillard coming in 5th.

On Sunday Rodney stopped at Mason City Motor Speedway (Mason City, Iowa) for another $3,000-to-win A-Main. Capturing another heat race victory, Rodney rolled off 5th for the 42-lap A-Main. Working his way into a podium spot, Sanders landed a runner-up finish behind Cade Dillard with Zack VanderBeek, Johnny Scott, and Jason Hughes rounding out the Top 5.

August 6th, 2016 - Sanders Wins Opening Night of The Hunt at Valley Speedway
1Kicking off The Hunt with the United States Modified Tour Series (USMTS) powered by S&S Fishing & Rental, Rodney Sanders invaded Valley Speedway (Grain Valley, Missouri) on Thursday night. In a field of 31 cars, Sanders gained four spots in his heat recording a 2nd place finish. Earning the pole position for the feature, Rodney cruised to his tenth win of the season over Cade Dillard, Jesse Sobbing, Jason Hughes, and Stormy Scott. Sanders picked up a $3,000 payday for his triumph in the 42-lap A-Main.

1On Friday night The Hunt headed to Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kansas) for another $3,000-to-win A-Main. Gaining four positions in his heat race, Sanders landed a runner-up finish behind Jeremy Payne setting him up with the 6th-starting position for the feature. Losing one spot in the 42-lapper, Rodney registered a 7th place outing.

The following night brought the USMTS followers to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) for the 7th Annual Slick Mist Show-Me Shootout. After logging a 4th place outing in his heat, Sanders transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Sending the top six, Rodney scored a runner-up finish behind Jeremy Payne giving him the 16th-starting spot for the main event. Storming through the field ten positions, Rodney Sanders reeled in a 6th place finish.
