August 25, 2018 - 5th Place Finish in River City Rumble at Park Jefferson Speedway
1Following the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Rodney Sanders was one of 20 cars signed in at Park Jefferson Speedway (Jefferson, South Dakota) on Saturday night for the River City Rumble. Holding his spot in his heat, Sanders recorded a 3rd place finish earning him the 9th-starting position for the opening night feature. Breaking into the Top-5, Rodney improved five spots reeling in a 4th place finish behind Lucas Schott, Terry Phillips, and Dereck Ramirez with Kent Arment coming in 5th.

On Sunday at Casino Speedway (Watertown, South Dakota), Sanders logged a 7th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Failing to place in the Top 5, Rodney was granted a provisional into the show. With $4,000 on the line, Rodney Sanders charged through the field 13 spots to place 10th.

August 18, 2018 - 7th Place Finish in Grant Junghans Memorial at Lakeside Speedway
1After losing Thursday’s program at I-35 Speedway (Winston, Missouri) to Mother Nature, Rodney Sanders headed to Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas) on Friday evening for the 3rd annual Grant Junghans Memorial. In a field of 48 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries, Sanders recorded a 3rd place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Cruising to a 15-lap B-Main victory, Rodney earned the 14th-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top-10, Rodney Sanders passed seven cars in the 32-lapper to place 7th.

The following night at Salina Highbanks Speedway (Pryor Creek, Oklahoma) for the 6th annual Salute to our Veterans, Sanders logged a 5th place finish in his heat sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the feature. Failing to place in the Top 5, Rodney was granted a provisional into the main event. With $3,000 on the line, Rodney Sanders advanced through the field 15 spots reeling in an 8th place finish.

August 12, 2018 - Rodney Sanders Bags a Pair of Top 5 Finishes With USMTS
1Rodney Sanders traveled to I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minnesota) on Friday evening for the 4th annual Casey’s General Stores Summersota Nationals. Drawing 34 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries, Sanders locked his spot into the opening night feature with a 8-lap heat race win Starting in 3rd, Rodney dropped two spots logging a 5th place finish behind Johnny Scott, Dan Ebert, Brady Gerdes, and Lucas Schott.

On Saturday night at Ogilvie Raceway (Ogilvie, Minnesota) for the Modified Madness, Sanders locked his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat behind Lucas Schott. Rolling off 8th, Rodney improved one spot to place 7th.

Sunday night saw 15 USMTS entries signed in at Mason City Motor Speedway (Mason City, Iowa) for the All-In 77. Following a 5th place finish in his heat, Rodney passed six cars in the 25-lap feature registering a 3rd place finish behind Terry Phillips and Lucas Schott with Zack VanderBeek and Dereck Ramirez completing the Top-5 finishers.

August 4, 2018 - Podium Finish in Summer Fling at Humboldt Speedway
1Friday night found Rodney Sanders in action at Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kansas) for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) sanctioned Summer Fling. Jumping up three spots in his heat, Sanders scored a 3rd place finish earning him 8th-starting position for the opening night feature. Breaking into a podium spot, Rodney gained five positions to place 3rd behind Zack VanderBeek and Stormy Scott with Dereck Ramirez and R.C. Whitwell completing the Top-5 finishers.

1The following night at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri) for the Slick Mist Show-Me Shootout, Sanders started the night off with a heat race victory positioning him 6th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $3,000 on the line, Rodney passed two cars in the 40-lapper reeling in a 4th place finish behind Stormy Scott, Johnny Scott, and Darron Fuqua with Lucas Schott coming in 5th. (K.C. Shaw photo)
