March 31, 2018 - Rodney Sanders Visits LaSalle for Thaw Brawl
1Rodney Sanders headed to La Salle Speedway (La Salle, Illinois) on Friday evening for the Lucas Oil Late Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) season opener. With 48 Super Late Models on hand for the two-day Hoker Trucking Thaw Brawl, Sanders logged a 4th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Failing to place in the Top 4, Rodney was granted a provisional into the opening night feature. With $5,000 on the line, Rodney Sanders gained six spots to place 15th.

1The following night for the $15,000 top prize, Rodney slipped back to an 8th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main. Needing to place into the Top-3 to make the $15,000-to-win finale, Sanders logged a 6th place finish forcing him to rely on a provisional into the show. March 17, 2018 - Sanders Bags Top 5 Finish in King of America VIII at Humboldt
1Kicking off the King of America VIII Modified Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment, Rodney Sanders was one 78 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) signed in at Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kansas) on Thursday evening. Passing five cars in his heat race, Sanders landed a 3rd place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Sending the Top 3 into the opening night feature, Rodney posted a 2nd place finish behind Lucas Schott earning him the 17th-starting spot for the A-Main. Breaking into the Top-10, Rodney Sanders improved nine spots in the 40-lap affair reeling in an 8th place finish.

1Returning on Friday evening for two rounds of heat races, Sanders gained five spots in his first heat to place 3rd. Rolling off 5th for his second heat, Rodney held his spot for all 8-laps logging an 5th place finish. Transferring into the B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the main event, Rodney scored a 5th place finish positioning him 17th on the starting grid for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top-5, Rodney Sanders improved 12 spots in the 75-lap affair reeling in a 5th place finish behind Lucas Schott, Ricky Thornton Jr., Johnny Scott, and Stormy Scott. (CRP photo)

March 10, 2018 - Rodney Sanders Follows USMTS to Mississippi
1Friday night found Rodney Sanders in action at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) for the fourth round of the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Winter Speedweeks presented by MSD Performance. Improving two spots in his heat race, Sanders logged a 7th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Needing to place in the Top 4 to make the opening night feature, Rodney gained six spots reeling in a 3rd place finish. Rolling off 19th for the feature, Rodney was an early retiree from the 40-lap feature on lap 16.

The following night with 43 cars on hand at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi), Sanders started the night off with a heat race victory positioning him 9th on the starting grid for the feature. With $3,000 on the line, Sanders dropped three spots registering a 12th place finish.

Sunday’s USMTS finale at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) was axed by bad weather.

March 2, 2018 - Podium Finish at Kennedale Speedway
1 Rodney Sanders returned with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Friday evening at Kennedale Speedway Park (Kennedale, Texas) for the third round of the Summit USTMS Winter Speedweeks presented by MSD Performance. Improving one spot in his heat, Sanders cruised to the 8-lap win earning him the 4th-starting position for the A-Main. With $3,000 on the line, Rodney jumped up two spots in the 35-lapper to place 2nd behind Ethan Dotson with Cade Dillard, Zane Ferrell, and Johnny Scott completing the Top-5 finishes.

Mother Nature rained out Saturday and Sunday’s USMTS events at Superbowl Speedway (Greenville, Texas) and Grayson County Speedway (Bells, Texas).
