March 29, 2019 - Runner-up Finish at Monarch Motor Speedway
1On Friday night Rodney Sanders was one of 17 Open Wheel Modifieds signed in at Monarch Motor Speedway (Wichita Falls, Texas) for the $1,000 top prize. Reeling in a podium finish in the feature, Sanders posted a 2nd place spot trailing John Webb across the line with Cole Traugott, Austin Bonner, and Manuel Williams completing the Top-5 finishers.


March 23, 2019 - 10th Place Finish in King of America IX at Humboldt Speedway
1Rodney Sanders was one of 72 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries signed in at Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kansas) on Thursday night for the King of America IX Modified Nationals powered by Summit Racing Equipment. Competing in two rounds of heat races, Sanders improved four spots in his first round to pick up the 10-lap victory. Rolling off 8th in his second heat, Rodney gained six spots to place 2nd behind Tyler Davis. After two rounds of heats, Rodney sits in second in the total point standings.

Returning on Friday for another two rounds of heats, Sanders followed up a 6th place finish in his first attempt with a 10-lap victory in his second attempt. With preliminary events wrapped up, Rodney earned the 3rd-starting position for the $12,000-to-win finale on Saturday. March 9, 2019 - Podium Finish in Second Round of Southern Stampede at Southern OK Speedway
1Thursday night found Rodney Sanders in action at Southern Oklahoma Speedway (Ardmore, Oklahoma) powering the Bob Sikes-owned #16 IMCA Modified for the 2nd annual Southern Stampede. After passing two cars in his heat to place 7th, Sanders improved seven spots in his B-Main reeling in a 2nd place finish. Starting the opening night feature in 14th, Rodney Sanders charged through the field eight spots notching a 6th place finish.

The following night in a field of 49 cars, Rodney secured his spot into the $1,000-to-win A-Main with a 2nd place finish in his heat. Breaking into a podium position, Sanders passed five cars to place 3rd behind Jason Hughes and Ricky Thornton Jr. with Anthony Roth and Jeff Taylor completing the Top-5 finishers.

For the final round of the Southern Stampede on Saturday, Sanders followed up a 5th place finish in his heat with a 4th place finish in his consolation event. With $3,000 on the line in the feature, Rodney was an early retiree from the 40-lapper.
