November 16, 2019 - Sanders Edges Mullens in Chisholm Trail Showdown at Park City
Wrapping up the 2019 season with the United State Modified Touring Series (USMTS), Rodney Sanders traveled to 81 Speedway (Park City, KS) on Friday night for the third annual Chisholm Trail Showdown. In a stout field of 48 cars, Sanders improved one spot in his heat to pick up the 8-lap victory. Earning the sixth-starting position for the A-Main, Rodney tracked down race-leader Tanner Mullens near the halfway point of the feature and the two began swapping back-in-forth for the top spot in the ensuing laps. Holding off Mullens through lapped-traffic, Sanders rolled to his 19th win of the season over Mullens, Dereck Ramirez, Brandon Sheppard, and Darron Fuqua. He earned $3,000 for the triumph.
