July 30, 2020 - Pair of third place finishes in Mod Mania at Mason City
1On Tuesday evening Rodney Sanders was one of 30 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries on hand at Mason City Motor Speedway (Mason City, Iowa) for the three-day Mod Mania presented by Keyser Manufacturing. Gaining three spots in his heat to place third, Sanders locked into the fourth-starting position for the opening night feature. Passing one car in the 35-lap affair, Rodney notched a third place finish behind Tanner Mullens and Zack VanderBeek with Hunter Marriott and Terry Phillips rounding out the Top-5.

The following night for the $3,000 prize, Rodney logged a fifth place finish in his heat, which positioned him 19th on the starting grid for the main event. Coming two spots shy of a Top-5 finish, Sanders advanced through the field 12 spots to register a seventh place outing.

For the final round of Mod Mania on Thursday, Sanders jumped up two spots in his heat to pick up the 8-lap victory. Starting the $4,000-to-win finale in second, Rodney briefly overtook Lucas Schott for the lead on lap 19 before surrendering back the top spot a lap later. Wrestling it back on lap 24, Sanders led the ensuing two circuits until eventual race-winner Dereck Ramirez assumed command of the lead on lap 26. Hanging onto a podium finish in the remaining distance, Rodney Sanders recorded a third place finish behind Ramirez and Lucas Schott with Terry Phillips and Hunter Marriott completing the Top-5 finishers.

July 25, 2020 - Seventh place finish in Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80
1Rodney Sanders picked back up with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) on Tuesday afternoon at Southern Iowa Speedway (Oskaloosa, Iowa) for the 12th annual Summer Classic. Scoring at third place finish in his heat race, Rodney locked into the fourth-starting position for the opening night feature. Clawing forward two spots in the 25-lap affair, Sanders notched a runner-up finish behind Hunter Marriott with Tanner Mullens, Tyler Davis, and Jason Hughes rounding out the Top-5.

On Friday evening at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) to kick off the two-day Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals, Sanders picked up an 8-lap heat race win over Zack VanderBeek, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the main event. The following night for the Silver Dollar Nationals finale, Sanders edged his way into the $3,000-to-win finale with a fifth place finish in his heat. Rolling off 15th, Rodney advanced through the field eight spots to register a seventh place outing.

July 18, 2020 - Sanders picks up win 13 at Deer Creek Speedway
1Friday night saw Rodney Sanders return behind the wheel of his Wichita Tank Racing No. 20 Modified at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) for the Karl Fenske Memorial. In a field of 28 USRA Modifieds, Sanders jumped up three spots in his heat race to register a fourth place finish. Passing five cars in the 39-lap feature, Rodney notched a runner-up finish behind Dustin Sorensen with Cory Crasper, Lucas Schott, and A.J. Diemel rounding out the Top-5.

After Mother Natured wiped out his original plans at Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) on Saturday, Rodney headed to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.). Clawing forward three spots in his heat to place third, Sanders locked into the pole position for the feature. With fellow front-row starter Zack VanderBeek grabbing the lead on the initial green flag, Rodney faded back to third. After taking back second following a restart, Sanders slid ahead of VanderBeek for the lead on lap 16. Leading the remaining distance, Rodney Sanders rolled to his 13th win of the season over VanderBeek, Brandon Davis, Jason Cummins, and Dustin Sorensen.

July 11, 2020 - Top 5 finish in World of Outlaws action at Outagamie Speedway
After taking part in a successful weekend with the series a week before, Rodney Sanders followed the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series to Outagamie Speedway (Seymour, Wis.) on Friday afternoon returning behind the wheel of Jimmy Mars-owned No. 20 Late Model. Following the fifth fastest time in his group, Sanders scored a third place finish in his heat, which positioned him ninth on the starting grid for the opening night feature. 1On Saturday evening at Plymouth Dirt Track (Plymouth, Wis.), Rodney timed in second fastest in his group behind Jason Rauen before placing third in his heat. With $10,000 on the line in the feature, Sanders jumped up two spots in the 50-lap affair to place 10th.

July 4, 2020 - Sanders lands runner-up finish with World of Outlaws at Cedar Lake
1Making his first start of the season in the Super Late Model ranks, Rodney Sanders invaded Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) on Thursday evening piloting Jimmy Mars secondary No. 20 Late Model for the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series sanctioned weekend. With the Top 12 qualifiers from the first time trial session getting locked into the Elimination Showdown preliminary feature, Sanders recorded the 10th fastest lap overall in time trials. Receiving the third-starting position for the $3,000-to-win show after the invert, Rodney survived all three elimination segments and the 8-lap shootout to place second behind Cade Dillard with Brandon Sheppard, Ricky Weiss, and Darrell Lanigan rounding out the Top-5.
