Sanders' fourth win of the year came on Saturday night at Hamilton County Speedway and rewarded him with a $2,000 victory.

“It seems like we’ve been adjusting our plans a lot this year with all the rain. After the USMTS races down South got postponed, we decided to race up North, and you can say it definitely worked out,” Sanders noted. “We started a little further back than I would’ve liked on Friday at Mississippi Thunder Speedway, but on Saturday we hit the ground running and got the win against a really good field of cars. I want to thank all of my sponsors, and I also want to thank both tracks for adding money to their purses at the last minute. That was really cool of them.”

With the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) doubleheader weekend wiped out by Mother Nature, Rodney Sanders headed to Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) on Friday evening for the track’s season opener. Passing three cars in his heat race to finish fourth, Sanders locked into the ninth-starting position for the A-Main. Wheeling his way into the Top-5, Rodney gained five spots in the 25-lap affair to finish fifth. He trailed Alex Williamson, Jake Timm, Calvin Iverson, and Dave Cain to the checkers.

The following night at Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa), Rodney improved five spots in his heat race to score a runner-up finish behind Jake Timm. Turning back challenged from a charging Jake O’Neil in the feature, Sanders stormed to his fourth win of the season over O’Neil, Zack VanderBeek, Kyle Brown, and Dustin Sorensen. He earned $2,000.
