Sanders 4th in Mississippi Thunder run
With the Summit USMTS National Championship schedule idle for a second straight week, Rodney Sanders took on the RacinDirt.com Summer Series finale at Mississippi Thunder Speedway on Friday evening.
He was among 22 USRA Modified drivers at the 1/3-mile track in Fountain City, Wisconsin, where a $2,000 winner’s share was on the line.
Sanders drove his ARMI Contractors No. 20 Modified to a win in his heat, positioning him on the second row to start the 30-lap feature. He fell one spot in the race and recorded a fourth-place finish behind Joe Chisholm, Keith Foss and Jim Chisholm. Brandon Davis rounded out the top five.
